Frequently Asked Questions Can the atmospheric data centers display imperial and metric measurements? Data can be displayed in either metric or imperial measurements. Simply press the reset button to toggle between measurement displayed when in the Wind, Altitude, Barometer, Temperature or display screens. Why does the barometer on my ADC Summit not read the same as my local weather station? Your ADC provides a true barometric pressure, not barometric pressure that is relative to the sea level.
If you happen to live close to sea level you will notice that there is very little, if any difference between the barometric pressure being reported locally and the reading on your ADC.
As altitude is increased, you will see a larger disparity between the true barometric pressure on your ADC and pressure relative to the sea level as reported on your local news or weather station. Also, remember that even after adjusting for pressure relative to the sea level, there can still be significant differences in weather patterns between the location of your nearest weather station and your results.
These can be found anywhere batteries are typically sold. How do I turn my ADC off? These units do not turn off - nor would they need to be. The battery lasts over a year on average before needing replacement.
