She produced a series of sketches of her time at the female colony of protestors and this monumental composition was her largest and most ambitious work from that time. Claudia Williams was at Greenham in ; the camp was established in by a small group of female activists who began a walk from Cardiff to Greenham called Women for life on Earth.

Claudia here captures an aspect of the camp which surprised many observers. There was a sense of peace and harmony which overlaid the protest and demonstrations. Her peace vigil shows the camp with mothers and children locked together in a dance of hope and mutual respect.

Both bodies of work draw inspiration from the history of three WW2 airfields based in the Blackdown Hills and the personal memories from those involved in the war effort. The aircraft featured in the prints the Dakota, Spitfire and Liberator were flown also from many other airfields up and down the country as part of the war effort. The Common was out of bounds and we would stand and watch F planes take off and land. An area that was known as a place of possible war was eventually returned to public use and we tore down the fences.
